2 cups all-purpose flour
4 tsps baking powder 1 tbsp sugar ½ tsp onion salt |
½ tsp oregano
¼ tsp dry mustard 1¼ cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded |
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk 1 tbsp butter, melted |
1. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar,
onion salt, oregano, dry mustard and cheese. Set aside.
2. Combine egg, milk and butter. Add into dry ingredients, stirring until just moistened. 3. Place dough in a greased bowl. Cover and leave to stand for 1 to 1½ hours. 4. Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. 5. Pour the batter into the prepared
loaf pan. Preheat oven to 180oC (350oF) and bake
for 45 minutes.
