½ cup butter
½ cup unsweetened cocoa 1 cup sugar 1 egg |
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup buttermilk 1 tsp vanilla essence |
1 cup mini marshmallows
1 cup walnuts, chopped 1 cup semi-sweet choc chips |
1. Preheat oven to 180oC
(350oF). Lightly grease an 8-inch square pan.
2. Combine butter and cocoa in heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and mix in sugar, egg, flour, buttermilk and vanilla essence. Mix until smooth. 3. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until the centre feels dry. Remove from oven and sprinkle mini marshmallows, walnuts and chocolate chips over the top. 4. Return to oven for another 3 to 5 minutes and bake until the topping melts together. Cool on wire rack. Cut into 2-inch squares. Makes 16 brownies. |
