Pineapple Sherbet

 
4 cups buttermilk
1 1/3 cups sugar
1 can (20 oz) crushed 
     pineapples, drained
½ cup walnuts, chopped
1 tsp vanilla extract
 
1.  Combine all ingredients and mix well. 

2.  Cover and freeze for 1 hour. 

3.  Stir and return to freezer for another 2 hours before serving.  

Serves 6 to 8 persons.
