3 cups rolled oats
½ cup walnuts, finely chopped 2 cups raw sugar |
7 tbsps unsweetened cocoa
powder ½ cup flaked coconut |
½ cup vegetable shortening
½ cup evaporated milk |
1. Line 2 baking sheets with waxed
paper. Combine the oats, walnuts, cocoa powder and coconut.
2. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, vegetable shortening and milk and bring to a boil, stirring until smooth. 3. Pour over the dry mixture and blend
thoroughly. Form a dough and place one teaspoonful every 1½-inch
apart onto the prepared pans. Cool and set for 1 hour.
