Mixed Nut Loaf

 
250 g butter or margarine 
250 g caster sugar 
4 egg
pinch of salt 
100 g mixed nuts, ground 
3 tbsps milk 
1½ tsp baking powder 
250 g wholemeal flour
 
1.  Preheat oven to 180oC (350oF). Grease a 5 x 9-inch loaf tin. 

2.  Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then slowly beat in the eggs. Stir in the salt, nuts and milk. 

3.  Sift flour and baking powder and fold into mixture. Turn mixture into prepared tin and bake for 50 to 60 minutes. 

Makes 1 loaf.
