Chocolate Pecan Pie

 
1 pie shell (see recipe 
1 cup choc chips, semi-sweet 
½ cup butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar 
2 eggs 
1 tsp vanilla essence 
½ cup plain flour 
1 cup chopped pecans
 
1.  Roll 1 pie shell and fit into 23 cm (9-inch) pie plate. Sprinkle chocolate chips over bottom of pie shell. 

2.  In a large bowl combine butter and sugar and mix well. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition. Add vanilla. Mix well. 

3.  Stir in flour and pecans. Pour into prepared pie shell. 

4.  Bake in a 180oC (350oF) oven for about 40 to 50 minutes. 
 
Makes 1 pie.
